Why the Mid-America League?
The Mid America League is a development summer league that will incorporate name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities to compensate players.
The compensation for athletes will come via local and League sponsorships, public appearances, autograph sessions and the like.
The Mid America League has contracted with a third-party firm that specializes in administering NIL programs with current NCAA athletes.
The six-team league includes teams in Abilene, Sherman, and White Oak, Texas, and Fort Smith, Arkansas, who will play a 68-game schedule starting May 22 and concluding August 8.
Mid America League teams have 40-man roster limits which allows for ample at bats and innings while not creating excessive stress. Pitchers will be subject to NCAA pitch count regulations. In addition, all Mondays are planned as off days for all teams.
