Lawrence, KS – The Mid-America League is proud to announce that Xavier Fosbenner of the Joplin Outlaws has been voted the league’s “Fireman of the Year.”
Fosbenner said, regarding the award, “First off, thank you! It means a lot after not playing for two years. I was able to come back and make an immediate impact.”
Fosbenner was 8-2-2 in 19 appearances for the Outlaws, pitching 11 games in relief while starting 8. Xavier struckout 80 batters and walked 58 over 68.0 innings and earning a 3.71 ERA.
The 22-year-old hails from Morristown, Tennessee.
