Summary
● The TimberHogs took down the second place Fort Smith Marshals tonight at Roughneck
Stadium.
● Zakary Jordan got the start for the ‘Hogs and tallied ten strikeouts in seven innings of work.
● Juan Murillo started off the TimberHogs’ offense with a single to right field. Gabe Flores then
reached on a fielder’s choice, driving in Murillo.
● Murillo hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the third, extending the ‘Hogs’ lead to 2-0.
● Luke Hinze walked in the bottom of the fourth and was driven in by a single from AJ Smith.
● The TimberHogs had a big fifth inning. Murillo scored on a passed ball. Logan Jones and
Flores walked, giving the ‘Hogs baserunners. Alton Gatson hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield,
bringing in Jones. Corbin Montayne hit a double off of the centerfield wall, scoring Flores.
Noah Paddie then hit a two-run homerun over the left field fence.
● The Marshals got their only run with an RBI single to right field.
● Bryce Nall took over the mound for the ‘Hogs, totalling two strikeouts in a little over one inning
of work.
● The TimberHogs are back at it tomorrow at 4:35 and 7:05 p.m. in a double header against the
Marshals.
