Summary
● The TimberHogs faced the Outlaws in the first game of their series tonight.
● Cade Medlin got the start for the ‘Hogs and totaled seven strikeouts.
● The Outlaws got on the board early, scoring three runs in the first inning.
● The TimberHogs got their first run in the bottom of the third when Charles Chatman scored on
a balk.
● The ‘Hogs took the lead in the fifth inning with a three-run home run from Juan Murillo.
● Jordan Hodges took over the mound in the sixth inning. He had five strikeouts and only
allowed one run.
● Corbin Montayne homered in the bottom of the sixth, scoring Karsten Fidler and giving the
‘Hogs a 5-3 lead. Chatman then scored off a wild pitch. Murillo singled to centerfield, driving in
Lukas Hinze.
● Hinze drove in Montayne in the bottom of the seventh to extend the TimberHogs’ lead.
● The Outlaws responded by plating one run in the eighth.
● Murillo hit his fifteenth home run of the season in the bottom of the eighth.
● Zakary Jordan closed the game for the ‘Hogs, retiring three Outlaw batters in order.
● The TimberHogs will face the Outlaws again tomorrow night at Roughneck Stadium.
