Summary
● The TimberHogs traveled to Sherman, Texas today to face the Shadowcats.
● Wilton Castillo Franco got the start for the ‘Hogs and tallied eight strikeouts in five innings of
work.
● The Shadowcats took an early lead, plating three runs in the first inning. They extended their
lead to 4-0, scoring another in the fourth.
● Juan Murillo started off the ‘Hogs’ offense with a single to right field. Cermodrick Bland walked,
and AJ Smith singled, loading up the bases. Alton Gatson reached on an error, scoring Bland
and Murillo. Gabe Flores also reached first on an error, bringing in Smith.
● The Shadowcats responded by plating one in the bottom of the fifth inning.
● Charles Chatman scored on a passed ball for the ‘Hogs.
● Gage Goddard took over the mound for the TimberHogs, allowing only one run.
● The ‘Hogs put two runners on base in the seventh, and Noah Paddie brought both in with a
double to left field.
● Bryce Nall came in to pitch for the TimberHogs in the bottom of the seventh and allowed no
runs.
● Smith scored on a wild pitch for the TimberHogs. The Shadowcats’ pitcher walked in two more
runs for the ‘Hogs.
● Tyler Puckett relieved Nall in the ninth, striking out three.
● The TimberHogs will face the Shadowcats again tomorrow at Veterans Field.
