Summary
● The TimberHogs faced the Fort Smith Marshals in the third game of their series tonight.
● Zach Martinez got his first start for the ‘Hogs and held the Marshals scoreless through the first
three innings.
● Charles Chatman and Cermodrick Bland singled in the top of the third, but the ‘Hogs couldn’t
bring them in.
● The TimberHogs stranded Juan Murillo and Gage Goddard in the fourth, after they both
singled.
● The Marshals got on the board in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI double and a sacrifice
fly.
● Lukas Hinze doubled to left field to start off the fifth inning, but the TimberHogs couldn’t
capitalize and bring him in.
● The Marshals had a big fifth inning, plating six runs to extend their lead.
● Karsten Fidler and Hinze both got hits in the next two innings but weren’t brought in.
● Fort Smith added another run in the eighth.
● Hinze got his third hit of the night in the ninth and drove in Luke Land, putting the ‘Hogs on the
board. Band singled to center field, scoring Chatman. Goddard hit an RBI single to left field,
driving in Hinze.
● The TimberHogs will face the Marshals again tomorrow night in the final game of their series.
