Summary
Game 1-
● The TimberHogs faced the Fort Smith Marshals in a doubleheader today at Roughneck
Stadium.
● Game one started with the Marshals taking an early 5-0 lead.
● Gavin Brady got his first start with the TimberHogs.
● The ‘Hogs responded by loading up the bases and scored their first when Corbin Montayne
was hit by a pitch. Lukas Hinze then singled to center field, driving in another run.
● Trent McGee came in to pitch for the ‘Hogs and tallied three strikeouts.
● The Marshals plated three more runs in the top of the second.
● The TimberHogs had a huge second inning, scoring ten runs. Gabe Flores hit a grand slam
over the right field fence. Noah Paddie then doubled to center field, driving in two. AJ Smith hit
a sacrifice fly, driving in Hinze. Juan Murillo then hit a three-run homer to extend the ‘Hogs’
lead.
● The ‘Hogs loaded the bases back up in the third. Murillo was intentionally walked, scoring one.
Logan Jones then hit a grand slam, plating four more runs.
● The Marshals scored one in the fifth off of an error.
Game 2-
● Carson Blakely got the start in game two and struck out six in four innings of work.
● The ‘Hogs took an early lead, scoring five runs in the first inning. Alton Gatson doubled to right
center, driving in two. Hinze singled up the middle, scoring one run. Paddie hit a sacrifice fly,
bringing in Gatson. Hinze came home on a wild pitch.
● The Marshals scored two off of a homerun in the second. They homered again in the third,
bringing the score to 5-3.
● The TimberHogs responded by scoring five in the bottom of the third inning. Flores hit a no
doubter over the left field fence. Paddie singled, driving in Gatson. Gage Goddard hit one off
the centerfield wall, scoring two. Murillo reached on an error, bringing in Goddard.
● The Marshals chipped away at the ‘Hogs’ lead, scoring four in the fourth and two in the
seventh but fell short in the end.
● The TimberHogs will play another double header tomorrow in hopes to sweep the Marshals.
