Summary
● The TimberHogs faced the Sherman Shadowcats in a doubleheader today, winning the first
game 8-7.
● Cade Medlin got the start for the ‘Hogs, tallying six strikeouts.
● The Shadowcats got off to an early lead, scoring two runs in the second inning.
● Sherman extended their lead to 6-0 in the top of the fifth inning.
● An RBI single from AJ Smith drove in Charles Chatman and Nathan Owens, giving the ‘Hogs
their first runs. Juan Murillo then singled up the middle, driving in Cermodrick Bland. Smith
stole home to help chip away at the Shadowcats’ lead.
● The Shadowcats plated one run in the top of the sixth.
● Noah Paddie reached on a fielder’s choice, scoring one for the ‘Hogs.
● Murillo singled in the bottom of the seventh, bringing in Smith. Gabe Flores sent one over the
left field fence, capturing the win for the ‘Hogs, walk off style.
